Mobile satellite antenna requires neither power cable nor control unit

Niederlauer. Mobile and flexible, extremely easy to set up and particularly energy-saving – these are the features that make the Campingman Portable Eco. This has quickly made Megasat's compact satellite antenna a success. A special feature of the antenna is that it doesn't require a separate power source. "Power is supplied via the coaxial cable, which connects directly to the television or receiver – and you're ready to go. A control unit is also not necessary with the Campingman Portable Eco," says Harald Langer, Head of Camping Sales at Megasat.

As soon as the TV or receiver is switched on, the Campingman Portable Eco automatically aligns to the factory-programmed Astra 1 satellite. The search takes a maximum of two minutes, and then the TV viewing pleasure can begin. Another practical feature: If there are future transponder changes on the satellite, no transponder updates are necessary on the antenna.

Another practical feature of the system is the flexible choice of installation location. The 4,2 kg lightweight Campingman Portable Eco Thanks to its carrying handle, it can be easily positioned wherever there is a clear view of the satellite and reception is best. This is particularly useful when positioned under trees that prevent direct satellite tracking. A robust metal eyelet allows the device to be secured with a chain, for example. An elegant, now completely white plastic cover protects the antenna optimally against external damage and weather influences. The Campingman Portable Eco, suitable for one participant, costs €799.
