Niederlauer. Visitors to this year's Caravan Salon have reason to be excited: When the world's largest caravanning trade fair opens its doors (August 25 to September 2, 2018; trade visitor day on August 24), Megasat will be presenting a world premiere. The Campingman Portable Eco is the first satellite antenna that operates without a separate power source. This makes the new device an energy saver that doesn't place additional strain on the vehicle's battery. "We wanted to develop an antenna that is extremely easy to use and, at the same time, keeps power consumption in the vehicle as low as possible. We have perfectly implemented these properties in the Campingman Portable Eco. This makes it the first device of its kind and an absolute innovation," explains Sven Melzer, founder and managing director of Megasat Werke GmbH.

The innovative antenna is extremely easy to use. Since Megasat also dispenses with a separate control unit, simply connecting the coaxial cable to the receiver or TV is all it takes. As soon as the TV or receiver is turned on, the Campingman Portable Eco automatically begins aligning to the factory-programmed Astra 1 satellite. The search takes a maximum of two minutes, after which the TV viewing pleasure can begin.

Another practical feature of the system is its flexible choice of location. The lightweight 4,2-kilogram Campingman Portable Eco, thanks to its carrying handle, can be easily positioned wherever reception is best. This is particularly useful for locations under trees that prevent direct satellite tracking. And to prevent the device from accidentally moving, it can be secured with a robust metal eyelet. The Campingman Portable Eco, suitable for one participant, will be available from the fourth quarter of 2018 and costs €799.

Another new feature is the Traveller Man satellite antenna, which, with a height of just 14,5 centimeters, barely impacts the overall height of the vehicle. Suitable for two users, the antenna automatically finds one of the ten factory-programmed satellites at the touch of a button, thus providing the best reception throughout Europe. An auto-skew function is also included. Available from the fourth quarter, the Traveller Man costs €1.199.

Campers without an automatic antenna can quickly and reliably find the desired satellite with Megasat's new HD 1 Camping satellite meter. Eight factory-programmed satellites and eight freely editable transponders per satellite are available. But the device can do even more: Equipped with a Bluetooth® interface, the HD 1 Camping can be controlled via smartphone or tablet. The app for iOS and Android offers numerous functions, including angle calculation for dish alignment and editing satellites and transponders. Megasat also includes a power bank for powering or charging electronic devices. The price for this multi-talented device is €119.

To ensure that the sound is not neglected during a cozy evening in front of the TV, Megasat is presenting the new soundbar at the CSD Klangwunder V, which delivers rich sound in your mobile home with 2×15 watts of music power via two full-range speakers. Connection to the TV is via cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth® 4.0. A USB port for playing MP3 music files is also on board. All important functions can be controlled via the remote control. Klangwunder V can, of course, also be used as a Bluetooth® speaker without a TV. Price: €79,90.
