Niederlauer. Visitors of this year's Caravan Salon can be curious: When the world's largest caravanning trade fair (25 August to 2 September 2018; trade visitor day on 24 August) opens its doors, Megasat will have a world premiere. The Campingman Portable Eco is the first SAT antenna that works without a separate power source. This makes the new device an energy saver that does not place an additional load on the vehicle battery. "We wanted to develop an antenna that is extremely easy to handle and at the same time keeps power consumption in the vehicle as low as possible. In the Campingman Portable Eco, we have implemented these properties perfectly. It is thus the first device of its kind and an absolute novelty", explains Sven Melzer, founder and managing director of Megasat Werke GmbH.

The innovative antenna is extremely easy to use. Since Megasat also dispenses with a separate control unit, all that is needed is to connect the coaxial cable to the receiver or TV set - that's it. As soon as the TV or receiver is switched on, the Campingman Portable Eco automatically starts pointing to the Astra 1 satellite programmed ex works. The search takes a maximum of two minutes, then the viewing pleasure can begin.

Another practical feature of the system is the flexible choice of installation location. The 4.2-kilo Campingman Portable Eco can be easily positioned where reception is best thanks to its carrying handle. This is particularly practical for locations under trees, which prevent direct targeting of the satellite. And to prevent the device from unexpectedly getting legs, it can be secured with a robust metal eyelet. The Campingman Portable Eco, which is suitable for one subscriber, will be available from the fourth quarter of 2018 and costs 799 euros.

More novelties: Megasat proves its innovative strength
A further innovation is the SAT antenna Traveller Man, which, with an installation height of just 14.5 centimetres, hardly affects the overall height of the vehicle. The antenna, which is suitable for two subscribers, automatically finds one of the ten factory-programmed satellites at the touch of a button, thus offering the best reception throughout Europe. A Auto-Skewfunction is naturally also on board. Available from the fourth quarter, the Traveller Man costs 1,199 euros.

Campers who do not have an automatic antenna will find the desired satellite quickly and reliably with the new SAT measuring device HD 1 Camping from Megasat. There are eight factory-programmed satellites and eight freely editable transponders per satellite to choose from. But the device can do even more: Equipped with a BluetoothÒ interface, the HD 1 Camping can be controlled via smartphone or tablet. The app for iOS and Android offers a number of functions, including angle calculation for the alignment of the satellite(sdish ) and transponders. Megasat also includes a power bank for supplying power or charging electronic devices. The price for the multi-talent is 119 euros.

To ensure that sound is not neglected during a cosy evening of television viewing, Megasat is presenting the new Klangwunder V sound bar on the CSD, which with 2×15 watts of music power via two broadband loudspeakers ensures rich sound in the rolling home. It connects to the TV via cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth® 4.0, and a USB port for playing MP3 music files is also on board. All important functions can be controlled via the remote control. Of course, you can also use the Sound Miracle V as a Bluetooth® speaker without a TV. Price: 79.90 euros.
