Niederlauer. Every year at the end of August, Düsseldorf becomes the center of the caravanning world. The industry gathers at the Caravan Salon and presents new products for the ever-growing camper community – this year from August 31 to September 8. Megasat will be presenting its wide range of products to the public in Hall 13, Stand E25. The Franconian specialist for satellite technology and accessories will be showcasing, among other things, further developments of the successful antenna models Traveller Man, Campingman Kompakt and Caravanman KompaktAlso new is the Traveller Kit, a camping satellite system in a robust carrying case.

Traveller-Man 2: Fixed installation or mobile use – both are possible

Introduced in Düsseldorf last year, the Traveller-Man quickly became a bestseller. This vehicle-mounted antenna impresses with its flat design and excellent reception across virtually all of Europe. Even more campers are likely to opt for this model in the future, as the Traveller-Man 2 is now mobile. Megasat has also added the Mobil-Kit to its range, consisting of a base plate with four robust aluminum feet. The Mobil-Kit is simply screwed underneath the mounting plate of the Traveller-Man 2. This allows the antenna to be positioned flexibly at the best location while the vehicle is parked in the shade under trees. Permanent installation is, of course, still possible. Technically, nothing has changed for the Traveller-Man 2 – the price also remains the same at €1.199. The Mobil-Kit is available for €99,90.

Campingman Kompakt 2: Improved control unit and more satellites receivable

With a significantly improved control unit and a modified design compared to the previous model, Megasat presents the permanently mounted antenna Campingman Kompakt 2. The number of receivable satellites has been increased by two to ten, and instead of a flat antenna, an offset dish is now installed inside. Setup remains pleasantly simple: At the touch of a button, the fully automatic antenna finds the factory-programmed satellites. Campingman Kompakt 2 is still available as a single version for one subscriber or as a twin version for connecting two TVs. The antennas are available for €1.199 and €1.399, respectively.

Caravanman Kompakt 2: New mechanics, changed design

The flat design of only 17 centimeters when folded makes the Caravanman Kompakt 2 has become a popular companion among owners of taller vehicles. Also top features include the high reception performance and easy connection of the compact, fully automatic antenna. The successor, with new, improved mechanics and a slightly modified design, will be available at dealerships in January 2020. Caravanman Kompakt 2 is available as a single and twin version, with prices of 1.199 and 1.299 euros respectively.

Traveller Kit: Mobile satellite system in a robust carrying case

The new Traveler Kit from Megasat promises maximum flexibility. The outwardly inconspicuous, yet extremely robust carrying case contains a mobile satellite system with a wide range of mounting options. The 40 x 35 centimeter dish can be attached to smooth (vehicle) surfaces using the new triple suction cup, which has a tensile force of up to 120 kilograms, as well as to masts or walls – appropriate brackets are included. A single LNB, a coaxial cable, matching F-connectors, and detailed assembly instructions complete the set, which will be available in stores from January 99 for €2020.

On tour: All new products on test drive through Croatia

Before Megasat brings new devices to market, the company subjects them to extensive tests under everyday use. In addition to general functions, the focus is particularly on the reception performance of the satellite systems: In which regions is television reception possible without problems, and where is it critical? Previous test drives have taken them to Spain, Portugal, the North Cape, and southern Italy; this year, the trip took them to Croatia in eastern Europe. Megasat CEO Sven Melzer personally undertook the most recent tour and put all the devices through their paces. Megasat will publish all test results in a brochure that will be available at the Caravan Salon.
