Setting up the Campingman Portable 3 is child's play thanks to its compact design: Simply position the antenna with a clear view of the satellite, connect the coaxial cable, and you're done. At the push of a button, the antenna automatically finds the desired satellite. The antenna is optimally protected against external damage and weather influences by an elegant plastic cover.
The antenna can be aligned to the desired satellite using a smartphone or tablet. The corresponding app is available free of charge in App Store or Google Play StoreAlternatively, satellite selection is also possible on the control unit itself. Not only is the antenna controlled by the app, but firmware updates can also be easily installed via it. While previously a computer and a USB stick were required for this, in the future a single command via the app will suffice.
The integrated twin connection allows you to operate two receivers or two televisions independently of each other if necessary. All you need to do is connect the antenna directly to the second receiver using a coaxial cable.
The auto-skew function allows for the correct polarization setting of the LNB. The further you move away from Central Europe, the more the LNB must be rotated to compensate for the curvature of the Earth and continue to receive the satellite signal at full level. This works fully automatically, thus guaranteeing first-class reception at all locations in Europe.
Reception of all German television and radio stations is possible in Europe's major holiday destinations. Occasional reception disruptions may occur at the periphery of the coverage area. This is partly due to the varying range of individual stations and the fact that current weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog can impair reception.
Attach a suitable steel cable or chain to the metal eyelet and protect the antenna from theft.
